I can’t believe the boys are 2!!! If you ask how old he is, M will respond by saying “Two!” and holding up one finger on each hand.
Unfortunately, the whole family has been battling horrible colds/flu this week. M came down with it last Friday and turned into fever/aches and then congestion and coughing. He’s on the tail end of it, the rest of us are still in the midst of it. Which means that the boys have been more whiny and clingy this week and I haven’t had the energy to get things done.
On Friday, they had their 2 yr. check-up. They are doing fantastic in all their developmental milestones. M weighs 28 lbs. and is 33 inches and L is 26 lbs. and 33 inches. This puts them in the 25th percentile for height and M is in the 50th for weights, L is in the 25th for weight.
On their actual birthday we gave them a couple of gifts, but didn’t do much other than run errands and clean the house. On Saturday, we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo to meet friends and family for a party. The boys didn’t take good naps prior to leaving so they were kind of fussy and clingy during the party. L was pretty much stuck to mama most of the day.
We were lucky to have our friend Ashlie along to take some great photos for us. Visit her site here. Here’s a few of my favorite shots of the day. The boys perked up once we were opening gifts and especially when we ate cupcakes. They dove in face first!
We’re so blessed to have such great friends and family who showered our boys with love! Thank you to all who came and helped us celebrate!
*Stay tuned for Part 5 of the boys birth story…written by the Chef!! I’ve been asking him to do it for a few days, so hopefully it will be up soon.
