I thought I would take a moment to feature some of the art and photographs we have in our home. I’ll start with this set that hangs in our dining room.
These two pieces were drawn by the Chef’s mother. It is of the Chef when he was about 2 years old and of his father.
The next photo is of the Chef and I on our wedding day! I love this photo because it capture the best moment of our wedding, walking down the aisle as husband and wife! I loved that moment. Our wedding photographer was a good friend of mine from high school. If you ever need a photographer in the Tennessee area, she’s your woman! Check out her website here: Ogilvy Images
This next photo was taken by my sister, capturing the other best moment of my life. Since L was in the NICU after he was born, I was unable to hold my babies together until they were 4 days old. As soon as they were together, L reached over and grabbed M’s hand. Precious does not even come close to describing it!
This collage of photos was taken by my mother when the Chef and I got engaged. My favorite is the upper lefthand corner with the waterfall in the background.
This is a lovely picture taken by our friend Kristin during my pregnancy with the boys. I love the lighting in the picture. If you need a talented wedding/maternity photographer in the Indy area, contact her here: Katie and Kristin Photography
This photo is of the Chef’s mother with the boys at Christmas last year. I like to keep photos of family around the house so the boys get used to seeing them.
This photo is very dear to me. It’s of my father and me when I was about a year old. He passed away in 2001 and I so wish the boys could know him and he could know them.
And here is a picture of my mother with the boys. She adores being a grandmother!
These next three photos were taken by famed Indy children’s photographer (and our life-long friend) Mrs. Rachel Vanoven. Check her out here: Rachel Vanoven Photography
This first one is of M and me when he was 1. I just love the composition in this picture. The lines are really beautiful.
This second photo is of L and the Chef when he was 4 months old. I love how he’s looking at his daddy!
And this last one is a funny family shot of when they were 4 months old.
This is a photo of our dear friend and “surrogate mother” Ann. We only get to see her a few times a year, but there is no one in the world quite like her.
And this photo is of M with my mom’s husband this past winter. The funny part is M spit up on his head right after this was taken! Thankfully he’s a great sport!
This last photo was taken of my babies as newborns by the highly sought-after children’s photographer Stacy Wasmuth. Check her out here: Blue Candy Photography

I don’t know about famed!! I love how you adorn your walls with such meaningful images, though. We do too, and while Nick grumbles about nail holes and re-sell and blah blah blah, there are so many times I just stare at the pictures of us, the kids, and just go back to that moment.
